Suggested Use
Once you decide to start your cat’s CBD wellness routine, you’ll choose the proper daily amount. Our CBD oil for cats comes in two strengths based on your cat’s weight (150 mg or 300 mg), and both options are available in unflavored (natural) or catnip flavors, so one is sure to please your finicky feline.
After finding the right option for your cat, start with the recommended daily amount. Always shake the bottle well before opening, then squeeze the dropper to fill it for the correct serving amount. One serving is when the dropper is filled halfway. Offer the oil up however your cat prefers, but be sure to provide it at the same time every day, like when you give them breakfast or dinner or with their favorite kitty snack. You can even divide the recommended amount up throughout the day if that works best; just be sure you’re giving them the same amount every day, even if you’re using more than one CBD for cats product.
As with most things, consistency is key. Start with the smallest recommended amount for your cat’s weight and then use it regularly for 30 days. It can take a while to build up in their system, so you might not see the benefits of CBD right away. Keep an eye on your kitty and stick with the same amount for 30 days before increasing the daily amount or changing the strength. And always make sure the lid is tightly on the bottle, and you store it in a dry, cool place away from direct light to keep it fresh and maintain effectiveness.
Important Product Notes
In December of 2018, the 2018 Farm Bill was signed into law. It removed hemp, defined as cannabis (Cannabis sativa L.) and derivatives of cannabis with extremely low concentrations of the psychoactive compound delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) (no more than 0.3 percent THC on a dry weight basis), from the definition of marijuana in the Controlled Substances Act (CSA).
